The nation’s favourite crossbreed competition is back

Scruffts, the competition that gives crossbreed dogs the opportunity to compete in the main arena at Crufts, is looking for top dogs as it goes to 15 different heats all across the UK. Dogs and owners competing at each of the heats are hoping to make it through to the class semi-finals, held at Eukanuba Discover Dogs at ExCeL London in October, and from there six lucky crossbreed dogs will qualify for Crufts 2017. Rescue dog wins Scruffts Crossbreed Dog of the Year at Crufts

Bella was one of six crossbreed finalists in the national Scruffts competition which saw hundreds of dogs compete in qualifying heats around the country, with all six finalists then winning their category at the semi-finals at Eukanuba Discover Dogs in London last October. Bella had won the Best Rescue category to progress to the final. ‘Charlie Appeal’ launched to help young rescue dog

Calling all dog lovers!  An appeal has been launched to raise money for a one year-old rescue dog that needs an expensive life-changing operation to help him lead a normal life. Charity Gets £10,000 Towards Saving Dogs’ Lives

This is great news!  A dog rescue charity which may have had to shut down within weeks due to a lack of funding has been helped by the Kennel Club Charitable Trust, which has given them a grant of £10,000. The Safe and Sound dog rescue charity, which saves the lives of 200 stray dogs each year, will now be able to carry on its work helping stray dogs from being euthanised.
