A painful condition that affects dogs’ tails may be more common than previously thought, a study suggests. The research offers clues to potential causes of the illness – known as limber tail – which mostly affects larger working dog breeds, such as Labrador Retrievers. Researchers say their findings are the first step towards preventing the distressing condition, which causes the tail to become limp and painful. Scooby, a Terrier cross dog, has found a new home following the death of his owner, who died following drug use and left Scooby in a very distressed state and prone to aggressive behaviour. Scooby was taken in by a non-profit organisation called The K9 Project after being contacted by the owner’s sister. A tailor of classic bespoke British clothing is launching a beautiful limited collection of canine-print pashminas and she has pledged to donate part of her profits to the Kennel Club Charitable Trust (KCCT), a charity dedicated to supporting dog health and welfare.
